ok no for real how do zines happen?
- figure out what to make a zine about (the hard part)
- steal a sharpie or ballpoint pen
- fold some printer paper a couple of times
- cut, draw, paste, write, sketch, stick, scratch, paint, type, or otherwise mark the page
- youve just made a zine. no really thats all there is
- this is as pure as the "self" in self publishing gets
- bonus cool kid points for copying and distributing your zine once its done :)
zines are the magazines of the people. you're not restrained by things like
licencing or copyright or editors or bottom lines or publishing houses
or even good taste ☻
you can make horrid garbage zines and they will by definition be better than
any of the """content""" on your friends feeds
below are some links you can use to learn more about zine making. i own none of it
but ive used it to teach myself. so i think its pretty neat :)
no paywalls. if i mention a physical book, check ur library first b4 you go buy something
